Dr. Jaishankar

Dr. Jaishankar is the Director & Clinical Lead of Cardiology at Medway Heart Institute, Kodambakkam, Chennai. With an impressive career spanning over 27+ years, he specializes in cardiology and electrophysiology, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his patients.

His educational journey began with an MBBS degree from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, in 1991, followed by an M.D. in General Medicine from MGM Medical College in 1996. He further specialized by earning a D.M. in Cardiology from the University of Delhi in 2001. His extensive training laid a strong foundation for his subsequent practice and contributions to the field of cardiology.

Throughout his career, he has held several prestigious positions, including Junior and Senior Resident roles at renowned institutions. He has also worked as a Consultant Cardiologist and gained valuable experience through a Clinical Fellowship abroad. His leadership roles include being a Senior Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist and serving as a Director and Mentor for Cardiology & Electrophysiology.

He is a Life Member of the Cardiological Society of India, the Indian Medical Association, and the Indian Heart Rhythm Society. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and the Indian Academy of Medical Specialties. His clinical expertise includes advanced procedures such as Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICDs), Coronary Angiograms, and Pacemaker Implantation, making him a sought-after specialist in his field.
