Dr. Anish Nelson

Dr. Anish Nelson is a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Critical Care Medicine, currently practicing at Medway Heart Institute and Medway Hospitals in Kodambakkam, Chennai. With over 22 years of extensive experience in the field, he has developed a profound expertise in managing critically ill patients and providing comprehensive Emergency Care.

He began his medical journey with an MBBS degree, followed by specialized training in Emergency Medicine (MEM). He further honed his skills by obtaining the prestigious MRCEM (UK) qualification and completing a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. His strong educational foundation has equipped him with the knowledge and expertise to handle complex medical situations with precision and care.

Throughout his career, he has accumulated a wealth of experience across various medical roles. He served as a Junior Medical Officer at Catherine Booth Hospital at Nagercoil for 3 years, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience in patient care. He then contributed as an Occupational Health Officer at TTA-JV AFCONS (Chennai Metro Rail Ltd) for 4 years, ensuring the health and safety of the workforce. He also completed a 3-year residency in Emergency Medicine at Dr. Mehta’s Multispeciality Hospitals, where he further specialized in emergency care.

Since 2012, he has been a key member of the critical care team at Medway Hospitals, where he has played a pivotal role as an Emergency Physician and Intensivist. His commitment to excellence and patient-centric approach has earned him the trust of both his colleagues and patients.
